Thomas Guy
Two fascinating pharmacopoeia volumes bound together, the first being produced in 1788 by The Royal College Of Physicians and listing all its members as of October 1787, the second being written ‘in house’ by Thomas Guy six years earlier for use at his eponymous hospital. A little toning and minor marking, but in general all in VG internal order. Contemporary signature to first title page. Bound in full leather with red leather titlepiece. Wear to edges, but binding holding firm. Both books scarce, with only one and three copies in world libraries respectively. 32mo. i. xxiv, 156pp; ii. 60pp
